Music Programs

At First Pres Warminster, we believe that music unifies us and brings us closer to God. We enjoy incorporating music into all of our programs, so there are plenty of opportunities to join or just enjoy our various forms of musical worship. Here you can find some more information about five of our most popular programs:

  • Senior Choir

  • Children's Choir and Chimes

  • Gospbells - Handbell Choir

  • The Warminster Chimes - Handbell Choir

  • Special Music Program

The Senior choir is an adult choral group that participates in morning worship services from September through mid-June each year as well as singing at our special services.  The Senior Choir sings in a variety of musical styles from classical to contemporary and rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 PM.

We are always looking for new members!  If you have interest in joining our group, join us Sunday and speak to David Sathra or any of our choir members!

Children’s Choir and Chimes

The Children’s Choir is open to all ages from kindergarten through elementary school.  This fun filled group focuses on introducing the skills of singing and playing an instrument, learning the basics of music, and most importantly - having fun!  The rehearsals are on Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. from mid-September through April.  The choir participates in the morning worship service on the second Sunday of each month from October through April, and at the 6:00 PM service on Christmas Eve.

Handbell Groups

Our church has two handbell groups that play on the 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month.

The Gospbells is a group of 12 ringers using a 5-octave set of handbells.  They love to play a challenging piece and often involve handchimes in their work.  This group has participated in a few festivals and fundraisers around the community.

The Warminster Chimes is a group of 6 ringers using two octaves of handbells, and is open to expanding with new members!  This group plays on the 4th Sunday each month.

Special Music

The church has a few choral groups and individual musicians who participate in worship periodically throughout the year.  You can expect to hear piano, flute, cello, trumpet, and vocalists.

There is great music every week, but special groups perform throughout the summer and on most holidays.
