Special Programs

Provided by the Board of Deacons

Our Board of Deacons is made up of 12 members elected by the congregation for three-year terms. Their mission is one of sympathy and service to the church. Deacons minister to the sick, the friendless, and to any who may be in need. The Deacons provide aid to congregation members and the community at-large through various missions, such as a food closet, medical equipment loans, visitation, and flower delivery. Food Assistance

The Deacons maintain a well stocked Food Closet to provide food assistance to the members of the Church and community.

Using the Deacon's Fund, food donations from church members and help from our local business partners, we are able to provide ongoing food assistance to those in need.

The Deacons also provide extensive holiday food distributions to families at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter so that everyone can enjoy the holidays.

If you would like to support the Deacon’s food closet, please click the link below and specify “Deacon’s Fund” in the notes section of your form. Thank you!

Constant Care

The Deacons provide personal care to all members of the church that need special attention, especially those who are temporarily shut-in, or permanently homebound.

This care includes ongoing personal visits when requested, and cards/calls to make sure they know the Church is thinking about them, as well as in-home communion for those who are otherwise unable to receive the sacrament.

Medical Equipment

The Deacons maintain a robust inventory of medical assistance aids for members and guests of the Church that have special needs when attending Church.

This assistance includes hearing devices integrated with the church service, first aid stations in the church, other medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc.) to use while at church, and no-cost medical equipment loans to those in need of equipment at home.

We Care

The Deacons provide special recognition and care for all members of the church and community to let them know we're always here for them.

This includes helping those in the military with phone cards to keep in touch, those in college with gift cards to use while they manage their finances and higher learning, and other care and recognition to those in need.
